To set up the appearance of a predefined newsletter template, go to:
> SETTINGS > Mailing settings
This window is divided in two blocks and displayed in two tabs:
- Header / Footer Settings: here, for each language active in the eCommerce, the content of the header and the footer of the newsletter may be filled in:
Header: is the common header that will be part of the newsletter template. Generally, a title, logo or a unique image is displayed here.
Footer: is the common footer that will be part of the newsletter template. Generally, links to legal texts, contact and copyright data or links to social networks are displayed here.
When creating a mailing campaign, a text in the Footer is created automatically. This contains a link to cancel the subscription to the newsletter.
- Elements settings: This tab allows selecting which fields of the elements inserted in the template are going to be displayed. It also allows establishing style rules like type, colour and size of the text font. For each of the elements that may be inserted in the newsletter, which are organized in tabs, we have sections for the different features the predefined template can display:
Image: Image of the element.
Name: Name of the element that was set to be displayed in the FrontOffice.
Description: description of the element that was set to be displayed in the FrontOffice.
Each of these features has different options to edit whether they are going to be displayed and the edition of the type, color and size of the font. If a feature is set to be displayed, and the element does not have this feature, it will not be displayed. The features that rely on the language (such as name or description) will be displayed in the language the mailing campaign has been created.
The Font option will only display the font types installed in the current computer.
The configuration of the newsletter template is unique. Hence, once set and saved, all created and launched mailing campaigns will use this configuration (same header, same footer and same displayed features of the inserted elements). So, if any of the template elements should be modified for a mailing campaign (for example changing an image in the header) Mailing settings should be accessed to execute the required modifications before creating the campaign.
